Angelina lives in a seaport town in the Far East of Russia and works in the juvenile delinquents’ department. She’s sweet, charming and intelligent, yet can’t find happiness in love. Still waiting for Prince Charming, she persistently turns down her co-worker. But when one of the delinquents calls her a lonely old hag, she sees it as a wakeup call and decides to completely change her life. Playing Angelina is Alisa Khazanova, daughter of famous comedian, Gennady Khazanov. Tale in the Darkness was shown at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Un Certain Regard program.
